Gibt die eigene Plattensammlung mal wieder nicht die Band oder die Liedversion her, die man gerade hören möchte? Ist man von der Musikvideo-Suche bei YouTube und Konsorten genervt? Möchte man sich von online verfügbaren Musik(-video)stücken gerne eine Playlist zusammenstellen, am besten portalüberfreifend? Dazu vielleicht gleich noch den Liedtext anzeigen lassen?
Dann könnte SEMSIX genau das Richtige sein. Zwei Studenten der Stuttgarter Hochschule für Medien haben diese etwas andere Art der Online-Musiksuche entwickelt. Dabei kann man kostenlos auf Videoportalen wie YouTube, Vimeo und MyVideo nach Musikstücken suchen. Mögliche Eingaben sind Interpret, Album und Titel. Werden identische Lieder gefunden, wird dem Nutzer nur das qualitativ beste Stück abgespielt. Die eigene Musiksammlung lässt sich mit Hilfe von Playlisten zusammenstellen. So generierte Playlisten können per Mail oder direkt per URL weitergereicht werden.
Mal schauen wie lange sich dieses Angebot hält … nachdem man über Semsix auch direkt bei Amazon einkaufen kann, sollte hoffentlich eine gewisse Wahrscheinlichkeit bestehen …
Wow … seems like there is a courageous guy with a really high bandwidth connection at home. YouTube user AustinBrock recently uploaded dozens of live recordings of Radiohead in mostly HD quality. I am curious how long they will remain there … but as Radiohead released their latest album “In Rainbows” also on the Internet for a price that you could define by yourself, maybe they are a bit more open-minded to such stuff.
Sehr geniales Konzert … hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich die Band so schnell auch mal live sehen werde. Gerade die neuen Lieder machen Lust auf mehr. Hoffentlich kommt das neue Album “Inshalla” nicht nur in Australien am 29. Mai raus.
Schade nur, dass das Publikum so lahm war. Scheinbar kannten Sie “London Bombs” von einer Bravo Hits – bei Ankündigung des Stückes ging ein Raunen durchs Publikum – und haben sich gedacht … Australier sind immer cool, da schaumamal hin. Bei Liedern wie “Sarah” war dann die größte Stimmungssäußerung vereinzelt ein leichtes Kopfnicken … da kann man es der Band auch nicht verübeln, dass sie sich nach einer knappen Stunde und Zugabe wieder auf den Weg in wärmere Gefilde gemacht haben.
Aber den Laden 59:1 (ehem. Monofaktur) sollte man sich wegen des umfangreichen Konzertprogrammes unbedingt merken.
In the time of collapsing financial markets one might wonder where investing money is still safe and worthwhile. Actually the music industry is looking for ways on how to cope with the concomitants of the Digital Age in which everyone is meanwhile just copying music without paying for it and thereby ruining the poor record labels and most notably the bands.
Recently the German band Angelika Express started to sell shares for their new album. One of in total 500 shares costs 50 € and in case the album realizes profit, the shareholders would get 80% and the band 20% of the earnings.
One of the bands of which I would definitely buy shares if available are the Shout Out Louds from Stockholm, Sweden. Great band! They formed in 2001 and released until now two albums: Howl Howl Gaff Gaff in 2003/2005 and Our Ill Wills in 2007.
This is also one of my favorite live recordings (1:31 hrs). The concert was recorded in autumn 2001 in Paris and is also available as “Hullabaloo” on CD and DVD in case you need a better quality or want to support the band.
